Description

Vibroflex SM is a vibration insulating elastomer supports featuring metal plate for load distribution. Vibroflex SM supports utilize polyurethane elastomer Sylomer by Getzner as a resilient element.

The supports are intended for an effective vibration insulation of different types of engineering equipment:

  • elevator winches
  • ventilation and air conditioning systems
  • refrigerators
  • cogeneration systems
  • molders and stamping machines
  • all types of machines being a vibration source or requiring protection against vibration

Distinctive Features:

  • Wide range of loads;
  • Ready solution, quick assembly;
  • Unified sizes;
  • Well-defined vibration insulating characteristics;
  • Low cost;
  • Multi-purpose application.

Type of support to be used depends on the existing load and required vibration insulation efficiency.

Characteristics

Operation and Maintenance

Vibroflex SM supports do not require maintenance, provided that installation and operating instructions are observed:

  • Load on Vibroflex SM supports should always be transmitted through the upper distribution plate.
  • Stationary load on Vibroflex SM supports shall not exceed the limits specified in the table.
  • Short-term dynamic spike loads exceeding rating values up to three times do not cause permanent deformations or changes in dynamic properties of supports.
  • Admissible limit values of horizontal load to Vibroflex SM support shall not exceed 25% of the existing vertical load value.
  • When installing machines generating horizontal force, special supports are required. Solutions for such supports are available upon request.

Environmental Resistance

Vibroflex SM supports are made of resilient material resistant to oils, lubricants and moisture. Contact with solvents should be avoided, however. Despite the fact that Vibroflex SM supports are resistant to moisture, they shouldn’t be submerged into water constantly. When exposed to intensive ultra-violet radiation, elastomer layer can be discolored, without compromising physical properties of supports. Operating temperature of Vibroflex SM supports is from -30° С to + 70° С.

Installation
  • M12 threading is provided in the upper distribution plate for the securing of Vibroflex SM supports to equipment.
  • As a rule, no securing of Vibroflex SM supports to the base is required. Where supports should be secured to the base according to structural or other requirements, use supports with lower metal plate (Type B).
  • Vibration insulating supports should completely rest against the lower surface. Surface for the installation of Vibroflex SM supports should be even and horizontal.
  • Supports are installed at least 2 cm away from adjacent construction elements. Supports should be placed under a machine so as to provide gradual settlement of elements under the load.
  • Stability and steadiness of machines with a small base area and high gravity center should be checked additionally.
